900K01-0201 Honeywell Pulse, Frequency and Quadrature Module
The 900K01-0201 is a DC voltage type module with four configurable channels. Each channel works as a pulse input, a frequency input or a pulse output. Quadrature signals are not supported in the current release. A blinking green LED shows scan activity. A red LED flags module or channel diagnostics.
Oiltech Controls’s Insight
- Four channels in one slot cut spare-part count.
- Each channel switches role by software, not by jumper.
- 32-bit counters handle long production totals.
- Open collector output suits fast signaling to relays.
- Best for retrofit of legacy Honeywell racks.
Who This Module Fits
- Turbine and shaft speed monitoring.
- Flow meter and totalizer inputs.
- Encoder and proximity sensor counting.
- Batch counting with preset trip.
- Legacy Honeywell control cabinets.
Pulse Input and Frequency Data
- Input voltage: 0 to 24 VDC.
- Channels per module: 4.
- ON level: 3.0 VDC minimum.
- OFF level: 1.0 VDC maximum.
- Input impedance: 25K ohm.
- Pulse frequency: 10 KHz maximum.
- Minimum pulse width: 3 usec.
- Frequency range: 10 Hz to 100 KHz.
Counter Logic and Flags
- Counter size: 32 bits.
- Preset value: user set within 32-bit range.
- Preset ON: output pulses 1 second, counter resets and resumes.
- Preset OFF: output latches until reset command.
- HOLD input freezes the count value.
- RST input resets the counter and clears OVERFLOW.
- OVERFLOW flag: STS=33.
- PREI flag sets when the digital output turns ON.
Pulse Output Data
- Any one channel can drive pulse output.
- That channel then loses pulse and frequency input use.
- Output type: open collector, 5 to 24 V, 30 mA max.
- Frequency range: 25 Hz to 10 KHz.
- Duty cycle: fixed 50 percent.
- Duration: continuous or numbered pulses.
Supply, Stock and Shipping
- 12-month warranty.
- Dispatch in 24 to 28 hours.
- Shipping by FedEx, UPS or DHL.
- Tested before packing.

Technical FAQ
Does quadrature input work on this module?
No. The current release does not support quadrature signals. Plan your design around pulse or frequency input only.
Can all four channels run pulse output at once?
No. One channel set as pulse output drops its input function. Assign output duty to the channel you can spare.
What happens when the count hits the preset with preset action OFF?
The counter keeps counting past the preset. The output stays latched until you send a reset from ControlEdge Builder.
How do I pick the right pulse width for my frequency?
Use 500 usec for 10 to 500 Hz, 50 usec for 10 Hz to 5 KHz, and 2.5 usec for 10 Hz to 100 KHz. Narrow pulses need clean wiring.
Why does the red LED stay on after install?
Check field wiring and channel config first. A red LED means module or channel diagnostics. Verify the slot and firmware match before you replace the unit.
