TC-FIDA81 Honeywell 120 VAC Digital Input Module
The TC-FIDA81 is a 120 VAC digital input module for Honeywell control racks. It brings eight field inputs into one non-isolated group. Each channel reads AC signals from switches, pushbuttons and proximity sensors. The module accepts a wide 85–132 VAC range at 47–63 Hz. A keyswitch sets the module address at position 8. Eight yellow LEDs show field-side status. Filter times are selectable through the output image table, so engineers can tune response to noisy contacts.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I use this card with 24 VDC signals?
No. The TC-FIDA81 reads AC only. ON-state voltage needs at least 65 VAC. Use a DC input module for 24 VDC loops.
- Why do my inputs chatter on contact bounce?
The default filter is short. Select a longer filter time through the output image table. Try 16 ms or 24 ms for mechanical switches.
- Will old proximity switches work?
Check the leakage current first. The module tolerates leakage below 2.5 mA. Sensors with higher leakage may stay ON falsely.
- Are the input channels isolated?
No. Channels share one non-isolated group. Only user-to-system isolation is rated at 2150 VDC. Plan common wiring carefully.
- What should I verify before ordering a spare?
Confirm the rack series, keyswitch position and field voltage. Note your filter time needs. Ask for test records and warranty terms.
