TC-PTBC11 Honeywell Terminal Base with Screw Clamps
Description
The TC-PTBC11 is a Honeywell terminal base for Series 9000 I/O modules. It carries 52 screw terminals in three rows. One row has 16 terminals. Two rows have 18 terminals each. The base is mechanically keyed before wiring. This prevents wrong module insertion. It supports intrinsically safe power supply channels and daisy chain power distribution. The unit fits field wiring in process automation cabinets. It also supports obsolete control systems that still run on Honeywell backplanes.

Installation Guide
- Mount the base in a cabinet with IP54 or better protection for field use.
- Use a copper seal cabinet to reach EMC protection class.
- Install ferrites on power supply and ControlNet coax cables.
- Key the terminal base before wiring the module.
- Use terminals +50 and -51 to daisy chain power to another base.
- Do not connect terminals 36 and 49.
- Use a 3.5mm x 0.5mm screwdriver on M3 terminal screws.
Commissioning and Maintenance
Commissioning is fast. The keyed base stops module mismatch before power up. Screw clamps accept two 1.5 mm² cables per terminal. This speeds field wiring and reduces loose strands. Maintenance teams can swap one I/O module without removing the base. The backplane plug SL2 and socket BL2 keep bus contact stable. Check terminal torque and cabinet seal during scheduled service. The IP20 rating suits clean control rooms. Field installs need a separate IP54 housing.
Compatibility
The TC-PTBC11 works with Honeywell Series 9000 I/O modules. It uses a vendor-specific 16-pole backplane bus. Isolation voltage depends on the I/O module used. Confirm module keying before ordering. This base supports obsolete Honeywell control systems that still run in process plants. It also fits mixed spare-part inventories for legacy DCS and safety loops.
