SR-2000W Ultra-Wide Field of View Code Reader
The SR-2000W is a 1D/2D code reader from the SR-2000 series. It uses an ultra-wide field of view design. A 2048 x 1536 CMOS image sensor captures the code. Auto focus keeps the image sharp across the range. Reading distance spans 50 to 1,000 mm. At 800 mm, the field covers 707 x 530 mm. Minimum 2D resolution is 0.063 mm. This head suits fast lines with wide parts or multiple codes per pass.

Oiltech Controls Review
- Coverage: 707 x 530 mm at 800 mm is very wide.
- Speed: auto focus cuts setup time on mixed parts.
- Networks: EtherNet/IP and PROFINET cover most PLCs.
- Protection: IP65 handles washdown areas.
- Limit: current draw near 1,600 mA needs a solid supply.
- Verdict: strong pick for wide-station code capture.

FAQ
Q: Can the SR-2000W read several codes in one trigger?
A: Yes. The wide field covers many codes at once. You can set multi-code reading in the software. Confirm the code count and spacing before finalizing the layout.
Q: What working distance gives the widest coverage?
A: Coverage grows with distance. At 800 mm it reaches 707 x 530 mm. Going past 1,000 mm is outside the spec, so plan your station inside that range.
Q: Does it work with both EtherNet/IP and PROFINET?
A: Yes. Both protocols are built in. You select the fieldbus mode in settings. No extra communication module is needed.
Q: Is IP65 enough for a washdown packaging line?
A: It handles spray and dust. It is not meant for full immersion. For heavy washdown, add a protective enclosure and check cable gland sealing.
Q: Is this reader still in production?
A: Keyence lists it as active. Last verified in 2026-09. For older SR lines, we also stock tested surplus units.
