The DT50-N1124 is a rugged optical time-of-flight distance sensor. It uses HDDM™ technology. This sensor works in cold storage and deep-freeze areas. It measures up to 10 m on natural objects. No reflector is needed. The internal heater allows operation down to -40 °C. The zinc die-cast housing handles heavy-duty industrial use.

Installation Guide
Mount the sensor with two M5 screws. Keep the optical window clean. Use the M12 8-pin connector. Supply DC 24 V for heater operation. Ensure VS > 15 V for the heater. Do not block the cooling plates if used. Align the laser beam to the target. Avoid strong direct sunlight or reflective surfaces behind the target. The display shows distance and menu options.
Commissioning and Maintenance
Use the buttons to set response time and output mode. The display shows live distance. You can switch between fast (20 ms) and slow (30 ms) averaging. Clean the PMMA window with a soft cloth. Do not use solvents. Check the connector seal for IP65. The heater starts automatically when VS > 15 V.
Compatibility Notes
The DT50-N1124 replaces many Dx50 series sensors. It works with standard M12 8-pin cables. The NPN output and 0–10 V analog output suit most PLCs. The MF input allows external trigger or teach-in. It is backward compatible with many SICK Dx50 mounting brackets.
